A "Yacht Fresh" Dream World

"Yacht Fresh" was the name given to me by friends to denote my sense of fashion.  There is no denying it when you look in my closet and see that it is predominately filled with navy and white clothing.  This weekend some girls from my small group at JMU travelled to the land of sailboats, navy, white, gold, red, anchors, sear sucker, men in uniform, crabs, and so much more that all seemed so unrealistic.  I think I walked around the whole city with my mouth open and must have said, "I love this city" at least 20 times.  How could you not love it when you're name is "Yacht Fresh?!" Oh and prepare yourself, there are lots of pictures in this post...I didn't want to delete any!

Sarah and I left Friday for Richmond (we might've made a pit stop at the outlets in Williamsburg first) and had some time to kill before our friend Julie got off work.  So we drove and drove some more until we found something to keep us occupied.  What we found was Echo Lake.  A tiny lake down the street from Julie's house that kept us busy for the perfect amount of time...
Sarah posing for me at Echo Lake!

So excited about her leaf!

Our friend Sal, the Salamander.

Julie, Sarah, our friend Megan, and myself went to Carytown, Richmond to shop at vintage stores and eat at the New York Deli on Friday night.  What a fun street!!...

My massive sandwich at the New York Deli!

Saturday morning we were off to Annapolis...the land of navy and white.  When we reached the hotel you probably had never heard such loud squeals from 12 very excited girls.  We were ecstatic to see each other.  We were there to celebrate the marriage of our small group leader, Kristin, and friend, Mike.  And that's what we did.  We celebrated lots.  We must've spent 3 hours on the dance floor and had such a blast.  It was a perfect ceremony overlooking the water and a fabulous celebration following...
Laura looks like she should be on the hotel advertisement!

The beautiful bride!

Sunday was spent wandering Annapolis and discovering cute boutiques, tourist shops, ice cream parlors, and cafes.  I was in love.  Everyone told me I should just go ahead and buy my house there so it's ready to move into when I graduate in 3 years....

The ice cream shop we went to! Sooo good.

We had way too much fun in this store!

I'm in love with these.

And these.

Oh, and these.  Sooo cute!

All decorated for the 4th!

Kayla found her store! Brown-eyed and "Funky!"

12 of my best friends, a God-centered, beautiful wedding, an adorable town, and lots and lots of dancing made this one of the best weekends so far this summer!

Tomorrow I will post lots of recipes! I know I've been slacking!
